Photos lost...

Don't know what happened. I happily surfed to the blog pages, and half of the photos are missing!

WTF?

If they are not gonna start working within reasonable time, I'm gonna call to the bloggers union and demand our rights!

Checkings

As the K11 was lifted, I did some checking to it again.

My toe angle is still wrong and it eats the inner section of the front tires badly. I should fix this asap and I do hope I am able to it within few weeks. I'm not so pleased for this especially when this tire size (195/45R15) is not easily available from this backwater called Finland.

My brakes shake a bit so I checked the disk surface. There are a lot of visible hints of stuck particles on the disk, thus explaining the phenomena. I'll try to arrange brake service day asap too. The pedal feels soft and weak anyway, indicating for bad fluids.

Bad Picture. I try to get another one.

The Cusco suspension kit is still kinda fresh :) That is nice to know, especially when the cops in Turku had something to say about my rides height XD I'll explain it latter in separate entry.

Otherwise, the car seems to be in mint condition. Especially after changing the timing chain tensioner. The entry of it is under construction and will be published soon. Stay tuned :)

Looks like my laptop is ready from the self tests. I'll shut it down and wish good night for all the internetz in sleeping time zones. :)

Yet another annoying rattle

Even though the heat shields are very useful, they can also be a pain in the butt for an owner of a fairly old vehicle.

I guess my March's heat shield did not like all that heat I managed to produce on my trips to Turku. The engine was running way too hot all the time, I can tell this from the spark plugs [which are white] and from the performance which was simply non-existing.

So, I lifted the FWD-March up to see the damage.

And what did I find this time - the rear end of the heat shield had totally failed from the attachments and cracked after vibrating wildly of the fierce velocity of Mach 2 [see the older posts].

Heat shield has been attached, but is not any longer.

The cracking. Right in front of the Lambda probe.

The tools, and Sandels, to the rescue! Hose clamp, heavy duty version, can do the job as I want. Securing the heat shield where it belongs!

Tools and essentials.

As a result, I did not hear any side noises anymore. Thus, I was successful!

Busyness causes stress

As if you did not know, busyness can cause awful stress :/ Especially if ones own matters are not taken care of.

I've taken few trips to Turku during last few weeks. Both times I've been running a bit late of the schedule, so I've had to take the March close to Mach 2! It almost tore the car into particles. In addition of extreme gasoline consumption, I got few side noises to the car. Some weird resonation, which is really annoying. I think it is a heat shied, but I must check. The sound stresses me, thus making the idling my personal Elm Street nightmare. The noise is the Freddy Krueger, growing in my imagination, making my life constant nightmare even when I am awake...

Been busy - as usual.

I've been too busy to do anything fun or interesting with my baby car. Added some stickers though :D

Soon is midsummer, in a week to be exact, so I'll probably have some spare time to be spent. And I intend to use it well!
